We are looking for a software engineer with a strong theoretical background in computer science, data structures, algorithms and mathematics (algebra).

Core Responsibilities

• Participate in the ongoing evolution of the MAQL and its algebraic representation.
• Implementation of the GoodData Analytical Engine and its interfaces (ETL, Query).
• Leading pro-active cross-team communication (between cities and areas of responsibility)
• UML modeling (MagicDraw) and technical documentation writing

Education

• MSc. or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent

Skills

• Excellent data structures / data processing knowledge is an essential prerequisite
• Keen interest and passion for data processing is required
• Erlang/OTP and relational databases knowledge is a must
• SQL, Perl and C/C++ knowledge is an advantage
• Additional programming and scripting languages are a plus
• Fluent Czech or Slovak is a must
• Fluent written English is a must, good spoken English is an advantage
• Experience with UML is an advantage
• Experience with distributed applications development is an advantage
