Interlochen Arts Academy, a fine arts boarding high school, offers the highest quality artistic training combined with comprehensive college-preparatory academics. The Academy also offers post-graduate opportunities.
Interlochen Arts Camp
Young artists from around the world gather at Interlochen each summer to learn, create and perform alongside leading artists and instructors. Programs are offered to students in grades three through twelve.

Job Description
Interlochen Center for the Arts, one of America’s most prestigious institutions for arts education, performance and fine arts presentations seeks to hire a Technical A/V Specialist. This position within Information Technology (IT) is responsible for supporting and expanding instructional technology integration across the curriculum in partnership with faculty, academic programs, and administrative colleagues.
Major duties and responsibilities include the following:
- The Technical A/V Specialist will build and maintain classrooms, meeting spaces, and common rooms necessary to provide for successful teaching, learning, presentations, and coordinate these activities across the various Interlochen business units.
- Assists Interlochen faculty and staff with utilizing a variety of hardware and software applications including, but not limited to projection, Crestron applications, recording, audio, and streaming technology.
- In collaboration with the Educational Technology Specialist, faculty, and staff, help implement and support existing technologies to provide successful distance learning.
- In collaboration with Interlochen Presents and the Technical A/V Specialist will be responsible for the technology aspects of the Live@Interlochen featured and non-featured webcasts.
- The Technical A/V Specialist will be responsible for the acquisition, deployment, and support for Crestron technologies. Existing programming and certifications a plus, but professional development will be offered.
- Assist the Interlochen IT Help Desk in providing day to day phone and email support for technologies including, but not limited to Apple OSX, Google Apps, Active Directory, and browser technologies.
Qualifications
- Experience in classroom technologies, Crestron programming and projectionist experience a plus
- Familiar & experience with distance learning & streaming technologies
- Past experience in managing multiple projects in a high pressure work environment
- Strong project management skills
- Highly motivated with strong attention to detail
- Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
