Job Description

The role is responsible for developing project plans and schedules based on contractual agreements. The role will be monitoring and creating reports to ensure that the progress and resources are aligned with the overall project plan and are communicated to relevant stakeholders. The role will be reporting to the Project Controls Manager in Manila and the project point of contact.

  • Develop project plans and schedules and monitor progress and resource use to ensure alignment with the overall project plan.
  • Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to create efficient workflows, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans.
  • Assists in the development and assessing the reasonableness of the proposed schedule durations, cost loading, activity coding and work breakdown structure (WBS).
  • Manage the development, updating, and monitoring of schedules and preparing status reports and staffing curves, in alignment with the scope of work and resources, including subcontractors and consultants, planned to execute scope.
  • Read and understand client contracts and subcontracts; particularly as related to scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Coordinate with project manager/lead to ensure all procedures are in place to meet contractual requirements
  • Able to cost load, resource load schedules, and perform schedule risk analysis.
  • Expert ability to develop critical path method (CPM) schedule logic for engineering, procurement, and construction as well as command of cornerstone scheduling system.
  • Analyzing contractor critical path method (CPM) schedules for delays, inefficiencies providing dispositions due to site conditions, inefficiencies, and delays.
  • Knowledgeable of scope control and change management and has demonstrated ability to incorporate directed changes into schedule baseline and review/recommendations of consequential impact.
  • Familiar with cost analysis and forecasting, cashflow reporting as it relates to planning and scheduling.
  • Maintain the planning updates, applying engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
  • Create reports to communicate project status to all levels of project and company management and the client.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule. Assess the impacts of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
  • Review project scope and determine all contractual deliverables have been met.
  • Participates in and at times leads project planning and scheduling review meetings.
  • Performing time impact / claims analysis and prepare reports and recommendations during project execution.
  • Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the Team Lead in a timely manner. May support junior members of the team in addressing routine issues within the assigned processes.
  • Perform moderately complex tasks in compliance with service level agreements, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.
  • Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to the Team Lead and Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’ degree in engineering, architecture, construction, or related technical field
  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in Project Management
  • Proficient with MS Project and Primavera P6 Professional software
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Knowledgeable in project management tools and software
  • Prior experience working with an engineering, construction management, or related field
