Job Description
The role will provide objective analysis and sound judgment with the application of principles and techniques to evaluate and report
project performance from concept study to construction & startup, including practical assessment of schedule completion and expected
final cost. Competencies include setup of work breakdown structure, establishing levels of control and detail, planning and scheduling,
cost analysis and forecasting, progress measurement, earned value performance, risk analysis, and change control.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Conducts expenditure process and begins reviews of expenditures for coding accuracy.
· Begins the commitment log for purchase orders and subcontracts.
· Assists in performance measurement and reporting.
· Assists in the preparation of monthly reports and in execution of the change control process.
· Participates in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues.
· Participates in tracking action items.
· Assists in the input of revised cost forecast for select accounts.
· May participate in reviewing and approving contractor invoices.
· Monitors manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.
· Understands the way profits on projects are budgeted and the extent to which the budget value is achieved.
· Conducts or assists in performance measurement and associated cost trending.
· Prepares and assists in various levels of project reporting.
· Participates in and may lead project cost review meetings.
· Perform assigned tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.
· Work with the Team Lead and/or senior members of the team to address issues.
· Maintain the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
· Escalate issues and concerns to the Team Lead/Supervisor for timely resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, accounting, finance or other associated degree.
· Relevant work experience in lieu of degree is considered.
· 2-3 years’ worth of relevant work experience.
· Knowledge in basic MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
· Fluent written and spoken English is required.
· Motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible. Must be able to work independently, and exercise good judgment.
· Understands financial terminology and measures and recognizes the financial impact of various project actions.
