Job Description
The role is responsible for coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure that the scope, schedule, budget, and resources are aligned with contractual requirements and service-level agreements. The role is also responsible for developing strategies to mitigate, avoid, transfer, or accept risks based on assessments using internal software, as well as preparing and communicating risk reports to stakeholders. The role will be reporting to the Project Controls Manager in Manila.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate with the project manager to ensure that all procedures are in place to meet contractual requirements.
- Assist in the development and assessment of the reasonableness of the proposed schedule durations, cost loading, activity coding, and work breakdown structure (WBS).
- Support the development and detailed review of critical path method (CPM) schedules (medium-to-large).
- Assist in the identification and analysis of project schedule variances and recommend associated corrective action.
- Review contractor schedules (Baseline and progress updates) in Primavera P6 using CPM, provide comments, prepare associated reports and recommendations per contract requirements, and produce scheduling management reports.
- Review schedule status, update master program schedules, and provide management with input on contractor and subcontract performance.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimate to completion, and project end dates.
- Perform schedule recovery and impact; produce schedule impact analysis for modifications and produce schedule fragnet for inclusion in change order documentation.
- Perform time impact/claims analysis and prepare reports and recommendations during project execution.
- Analyze contractor critical path method (CPM) schedules for delays, inefficiencies providing dispositions due to site conditions, inefficiencies, and delays.
- Participate in and at times lead project planning and scheduling review meetings.
- Proactively identify potential risks and evaluate the likelihood and impact using quantitative and qualitative methods (Monte Carlo Simulation, OPRA, or other Risk Management Software)
- Address critical and unique issues with the guidance of the Team Lead for timely resolution of escalated issues.
- Perform complex tasks in compliance with service level agreements, processes, policies, procedures, and SOX & internal controls.
- Work with Team Lead to develop process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior members of the team in completing projects and performing (sub-process) activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, accounting, finance or other associated degree.
- Relevant work experience in lieu of degree is considered.
- 2-3 years’ worth of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge in basic MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) [JS1]
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible. Must be able to work independently, and exercise good judgment.
- Understands financial terminology and measures and recognizes the financial impact of various project actions.
