Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Architect / Project Coordinator for various exciting residential and industrial projects throughout Belgium.
The main responsibilities will involve coordinating architectural and engineering disciplines across projects in Belgium and ensuring that designs delivered by AECOM design hubs comply with local codes and regulations.
Key duties include:
- Ensure the localization of the project, interpretation of legislation and code compliance.
- Coordinate remote design teams and / or local partners design input.
- Communicate with local authorities and follow-up on permitting processes.
- Support the Design Manager and Project Manager with the financial and time management of the project.
- Actively engage with other AECOM Business Lines in Benelux and AECOM design hubs across Europe
Qualifications
- Technical degree in Architecture
- Registration in the Belgian Ordre des Architects is a plus
- 5+ years related experience
- Experience in local permitting procedures
- Interest in construction site supervision and follow-up
- Fluent in either Dutch or French and English
- Sound knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively
- Willing to travel to project sites across Belgium and to AECOM design hub sites across Europe
