Job Description

AECOM is looking for a talented and experienced Water Treatment Engineer to join our team and focus on the design and implementation of advanced water treatment pilot plants. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in engineering principles, design, or modeling and a passion for innovative solutions in water treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of advanced water treatment pilot plants, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new treatment methods and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate pilot plant design with overall project objectives and timelines.
  • Oversee the construction, operation, and optimization of pilot plants to validate design assumptions and improve treatment processes.
  • Analyze pilot plant data and prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on findings.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and project staff.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to communicate project progress and results.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PHD degree in engineering
  • Professional Engineering License
  • 20+  years of experience in water treatment engineering, with a focus on water treatment design.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment technologies, including membrane processes, advanced oxidation, and biological treatment systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software and modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Aspen Plus) and data analysis software.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and present findings clearly.
