Job Description
The Regional Fleet Maintenance Supervisor role will champion AWP’s core values and mission of protecting our customers’ people, business, and time. The Regional Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will engage with divisional leadership in managing the day-to-day fleet and equipment operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide on-site maintenance assistance to the locations within the assigned area
- Work directly with local and regional management to achieve operational targets and goals. The primary customer is the Field Leadership
- Dotted line reporting to General Manager
- Ensure required vehicle maintenance and inspections are completed
- Guide and assist in repair & maintenance, availability status, assist in replacement planning, and auditing of fleet and equipment
- Engage in strategic planning and decision making
- Maintain relationships and evaluate fleet service vendors and suppliers
- Travel to meet with vendors
- Serve as liaison between vendors and AWP Safety/Safety First
- Negotiating rates
- Identify new vendors (RFP)
- Assist in supporting the telematics program
- Maintain asset branding procedures
- Collaborate with the safety department to ensure all vehicles meet safety standards.
- Supervise regional internal maintenance staff
- Conduct performance evaluations for the supporting team according to organization guidelines
- Will support Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, PEI
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Mechanic/Maintenance repair supervisory experience
- Three (3) years minimum management experience (mid-level)
- Hands on mechanic experience
- Three (3) years minimum (5 years preferred) mechanic experience preference given to retail
- Customer facing, mechanic management, scheduling, ordering, etc.
- Strong leadership, communication and coaching skills
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and Salesforce
- Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include but are not limited to the following:
- Hours of operation are typically 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, however business needs may require other hours
- Primarily work within locations of assigned area.
- May occasionally travel to other areas to assist.
- Work outside or within repair facilities and warehouses.
- Position lifts or carries objects up to 20 kg (50 lbs.)
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms
Compensation: $ 65K + Company Vehicle + 7% AIP Bonus.
