Job Description
The Store Operations team is the Global Home Office (GHO) support for store associates and communications in Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie kids, Hollister and Gilly Hicks stores worldwide. The Store Communications team is responsible for acting as a catalyst between the global field and all other GHO departments, delivering quality and effective communication tools and resources to drive increased field execution and engagement. Responsibilities include creating, implementing, and evolving communications strategies working closely with various teams and functions to ensure our global associates, management, and leadership have the content, information, and knowledge they need, when they need it.
This position plays a strategic role in planning, creating, and organizing internal communications to enhance store operations and initiatives. This position focuses on content development, feedback analysis, addressing regional needs, managing translations, and fostering cross-functional collaborations. The Specialist will ensure that key messages are effectively communicated to store associates, driving engagement and alignment with operational goals. Additionally, this role will leverage feedback from teams to continuously improve communication strategies, ensuring they meet the unique requirements of diverse regions.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Design and execute strategic communication plans that align with store operations and initiatives
- Manage the creation and delivery of store communications, ensuring clarity and consistency across all channels
- Ensure that all communications and resources are accurately documented and stored in the internal SharePoint site for easy access
- Participate in and/or lead seasonal cross-functional meetings to coordinate and optimize communication strategies
- Develop compelling content tailored for various communication platforms, enhancing associate engagement and understanding
- Collect and analyze feedback to refine communication processes and improve effectiveness
- Ensure that country-specific documentation requirements are met and aligned with local regulations and cultural considerations
- Oversee the translation team to guarantee accurate and culturally appropriate translations of all communications
- Stay updated on relevant software tools and store knowledge to enhance communication effectiveness and operational support
What Do You Need To Bring?
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in content development and internal communications
- Ability to analyze feedback and implement improvements
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
- Proficient in relevant communication software and tools
- Prior store and/or retail experience is preferred
