Job Description

As a Reporting Analyst, you will collect, analyze, and layer internal business information into reports for the Management/Owners.  The goal of reports to identity that each business process is operating within standard parameters, and to investigate large or unusual items.

This person must have an enter-once approach, so that all data flows from the source.  The greatest challenge is that various reports often generate data that other systems reports differently.  For example, the sales report gets one set of $, but the customer revenue includes different start dates, so the base sales and the revenue change do not match.

The investigation tasks focuses on full understanding of the revenue to cash steps.  This includes documenting procedural errors and improvement for other department respectfully.  Unfortunately, the CFO says, “when you turn over a rock, all sorts of things are found crawling, not always what you thought when you started.”

The reporting majority of this work is in order of volume:

Revenue and Revenue versus Sales, so backlog and MRC start and stop dates.

Credit / Collections / Adjustments classification for causation.

Taxation and regulatory reporting at all levels (USA federal, state, local, and some international)

Summarizing Cost of Service vendors matching to Revenue (although an entire department (Revenue Assurance) is preforming the detailed work daily.

            SG&A

A knowledge of the business rules and nuances for MRC services.  This includes early termination liability.   Some reports evaluate the revenue commitment versus the vendor commitment.

Analyze and process data, build report templates, and develop data-driven solutions. Maintain responsibility for producing a series of monthly metrics, reports, or analyses using internal business intelligence, including proposal and contract activity, field ad hoc requests from internal customers for both standardized or canned and customized reports and data exports, and conduct regular reviews of the quality and integrity of leveraged data. Conduct data clean-up efforts and recommend data collection improvements. Support the development of new analytical products, suggest improvements for current products, develop comprehension of internal sources of data, including data collection methods and systems and available reporting tools, and build internal relationships with key data providers and data or report consumers.

Airespring is a remote company (except for certain warehouses and customer facing call centers).
