Job Description

What you’re responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough inspections and diagnostics on various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, skid steers, loaders, and cranes, to identify mechanical issues.
  • Performing repairs and routine maintenance on equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
  • Maintaining necessary parts, tools, and supplies to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintaining detailed records of repairs, maintenance work, and parts used. Completing service reports and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Adhering to safety regulations and protocols while working on equipment. Follow company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Working closely with other mechanics, operators, and supervisors to resolve equipment issues and support overall team objectives.

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • Minimum of [3] years of experience working as a heavy equipment mechanic or in a similar role or Completion of a Diesel Technician program or school. 
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Experience with various types of heavy equipment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, OEM-specific certifications) are a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks.
