Job Description
Reporting into the warehouse supervisor, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and supervising warehouse activities to ensure optimal operations. The warehouse lead shows leadership for the team, upholds safety standards, and works closely with other departments to maintain accurate inventory, on-time shipments, a clean and organized workspace, and a motivated, on-task workforce. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and planning/scheduling tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods
- Leading and mentoring a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, motivation, and support
- Ensuring accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels to support production and customer orders
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Developing and enforcing safety policies and protocols to ensure a secure working environment
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth order processing and delivery timelines
- Tracking key metrics and create reports on warehouse activities and performance
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in logistics or warehouse management is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with at least 1 year in a or lead capacity
- Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required
- Forklift certification preferred
