Job Description
The Card Services Manager will manage the daily activities of the Credit Union's Visa Credit/Debit plastic card programs, both consumer and business. Develop and implement Visa Credit/Debit card operations policies and procedures ensuring they meet federal, state, and regulatory guidelines. Ensure Visa Credit/Debit card operations adhere to the Credit Union's financial and business strategies. Ensure staff provide quality service according to ACU Service Standards. Provide coaching and mentoring, and direct the activities of the department. Provide feedback, and guidance concerning department operations. Manage systems/procedures in the department, ensuring they operate efficiently and accurately. This position will report to VP of Sales & Operations.
Qualifications
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four (4) year college or university, or equivalent education from a technical or trade school;
2. OR two (2) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a background in research, operations or card service management and financial background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of credit union operations, products and services, related state and federal laws and regulations, and other credit union operational policies and procedures.
• Intermediate researching and analyzing skills; ability to interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and legal documentation.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence and procedures, communicate clearly to members and employees.
• Advanced analytical and project management skills for a variety of tasks or projects. Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets, variables and situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; software programs of diverse functionality used by the credit union, including but not limited to, desktop applications and network administrative programs and resources.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task. Ability to work with minimal or no supervision while performing duties; has the ability and initiative to organize various functions necessary to accomplish department activities or goals and be a strong team player.
