Job Description

The marketing communications of Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials Europe are produced by a multi-disciplinary team of in-house specialists. Together, we ideate, plan, write, design and produce engaging content, campaigns, events and tools. Our objectives are to grow our brand, engage with key audiences, and launch new product innovations. We follow creative trends and industry insights. We get inspiration from the magic of materials – in particular those that are sustainable and intelligent. And we partner with designers, materials scientists, industry experts and future thinkers from around the world.

We are looking for a digital designer to join our team. The freelance (ZZP) contract for this position is part-time (32hrs). We currently work from home, but the role may require working from our office in Oegstgeest in the future. You will also be expected to take part in team meetings where relevant.

You’ll be responsible for the design of all our digital touchpoints – websites, emails, social media and ads. You will work closely with our small team, reporting to the Creative Manager, but in regular dialogue with our content, events and digital marketing specialists to improve the digital experience for our audiences.

You will:

  • act as website guardian, providing design direction for new pages and creating new image assets

  • work with partner agencies, our content specialists and interns to improve our social media presence across Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest, creating image assets where necessary

  • utilise established templates to provide design direction for all internal and external emails

  • create image assets for email signatures

  • work collaboratively to develop and produce intelligent, targeted ad campaigns across Google Display Network, LinkedIn and Instagram/Facebook

  • act as guardian for the Labels portal of our brand asset management platform, ensuring that all assets are organised and easily accessible, and loading new image assets as they are created

Qualifications

 

  • relevant HBO education (eg. HKU, AKV, St Joost)

  • minimum 3 years of experience within a digital design role

  • excellent communication skills in English

  • fluent in Adobe Photoshop and XD (animation/video editing an advantage)

  • knowledgeable in technical requirements for digital communications

  • intuitive handling of design elements and principles – colour, composition and typography

  • comfortable working in and outside of design templates

  • organized, with eye for detail
