The Environmental Manager: 
•    manages the environmental management system at both project and business unit level within the BU Belgium-Luxembourg. 
•    lead a team of regional Environmental Coordinators (2).
•    provides environmental support on both project and corporate level and ensures that all the activities (project, offices and other fixed facilities) performed within your business unit are executed in compliance with client, legal and internal environmental requirements.  
•    ensures the correct application of the ISO14001 and CO2 Performance Ladder management system to safeguard the different certifications .
•    Implement the BESIX Group environmental strategy in the Belgian-Luxembourg Business Unit
•    Ensure compliance on Business unit and project level with the ISO14001 certified environmental management system 
•    Ensure compliance on Business unit and project level with the CO2 PL certified management system meaning  setting reduction targets, data-management (collection, input in CO2 software application, analysis), half-yearly reporting, internal & external communication, dialogue with external stakeholders, follow-up of BU/entity specific reduction programs and action plans, coordination of innovation and (sector)-initiatives, follow-up of CO2-awarded projects……in coordination with the Group CO2 PL manager.
•    Manage regional Environmental Coordinators (2)
•    Participate and input to prequalification and tender when required by the QHSE tender Manager. 
•    Represent BESIX in external participation initiatives (ADEB-VBA,…)
•    Provide environmental training within the organization as per QHSE training matrix;
•    Constantly seek for continuous improvement of the Environmental Management system (part of the Integrated Management system) 
•    Participate in the development of Corporate environmental management programs (waste, energy, carbon…)
•    Assist in the data collection for various sustainability reporting purposes (Ecovadis, CSRD, CO2 PL,...).
•    To participate in the Corporate Internal MS audit program
 

•    Diploma in Environment (Bachelor of Science, Master Degree or above) 
•    Diploma as Environmental Coordinator level A 
•    Other degree(s) in technical or environmental fields, a plus. 
•    10-15 years’ experience minimum in a similar role
•    Advanced knowledge on CO2 performance ladder is a plus 
•    A team player, a person that understands and knows how to motivate others in multiple different operational and cultural contexts. 
•    English and Dutch mandatory, French a significant plus
