Job Description

Are you an experienced Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (QHSE) professional looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact? BEUMER Group Australia is seeking a dedicated QHSE Manager to oversee and drive safety and compliance. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and enforce the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Plan on-site.
  • Ensure all subcontractors and personnel comply with HSE regulations and company safety standards.
  • Develop and coordinate HSE training programs for BEUMER Group employees and subcontractors.
  • Conduct risk assessments and proactively implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Lead incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with reporting procedures.
  • Oversee site safety inspections, emergency preparedness, and compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain certification requirements (e.g., ISO 9001/14001).
  • Collaborate with project teams and attend weekly coordination meetings to ensure alignment on safety objectives.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in HSE roles on large-scale industrial or EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian occupational health and safety regulations (Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 & OHS Regulations 2017).
  • Experience in Baggage Handling Systems or related engineering/construction environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence safety culture.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements to improve HSEQ performance.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
