Job Description

Nurse Practitioner, field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)

As a Nurse Practitioner and part of our Life Care Plan Management Team (LCPMT) will be working in the related filed of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitations (PM&R), collaborating with medical physicians to incorporate their recommendations, and determine the future needs and costs of the patients’ care. Assist the physicians in the development of the Life Care Plans (LCP), as well assist in patient exams, research and draft reports, based on the projected and future medical costs for ill or injured patients. The Nurse Practitioner will be required to communicate with law firms and injured patients, conduct medical questionnaires, provide in-home patient visits, and assist the physicians during patient exams. At times, will be required to gather patient records. Our Nurse Practitioners will be required to attend conferences, maintain accurate and complete record-keeping, and participate in additional projects and tasks.


Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner (MSN) with at least 5 years’ experience in a related field.

• A currently active and valid, unrestricted state Nurse Practitioner license recognized by the State of Florida.

• Although not required at this time, it is highly encouraged that our experienced Case Managers pursue further education and training, by becoming certified as a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP) or Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP).

• Active DEA License a plus.

  • Extensive knowledge in the medical and legal fields. Medical and legal experience is a huge plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Skype for Business, and Adobe PDF. Also being knowledgeable in the development of spreadsheets and documents.
  • Experience with cloud services for online file management, including uploading files.
