Are you a driven leader with a passion for pushing the limits of performance? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment? Bosch Motorsport, a leading supplier of cutting-edge technology to top racing series and teams worldwide, is seeking a highly motivated Motorsport Technical Account Manager to join our dynamic team.
As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will play a vital role in driving the success of three major North American motorsport accounts. You will lead a talented team of application and software development engineers across two locations (Farmington Hills, MI, and Mooresville, NC), fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work directly with renowned racing teams, providing them with the advanced electronics, sensors, actuators, and engineering services that power winning performance.
What You'll Do:
Lead a High-Performing Team: Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of application and software development engineers, fostering their professional growth and development. Oversee resource allocation, performance management, and skill development to ensure the team's continued success.
Build Strong Customer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for Bosch Motorsport solutions. Proactively identify and address customer needs, ensuring their complete satisfaction.
Drive Operational Excellence: Continuously improve application and software development processes, ensuring the highest quality standards and timely delivery of solutions. Develop and implement efficient workflows and best practices to optimize team performance.
Drive Account Growth: Manage and expand three key North American motorsport accounts, exceeding revenue, and profitability targets. Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with customer needs and Bosch Motorsport's overall business objectives.
Shape the Future of Motorsport Technology: Collaborate with our German headquarters to enhance product management and customer service strategies. Contribute to the development of next-generation motorsport technologies and solutions that push the boundaries of performance.
Manage Budget and Resources: Oversee the development budget for your assigned accounts, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and maximizing return on investment. Effectively manage resources to achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor of Science degree in Business or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred)
Proven track record of success in a customer-facing role within the motorsports industry (3+ years)
Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing engineering teams (3+ years)
Strong understanding of the motorsport landscape, including key players, technologies, and trends
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Ability to travel up to 25% annually, including domestic, international, and weekend travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing development budgets with P&L responsibility
Cross-functional experience in technical sales or product management
Experience with hybrid and/or battery electric vehicle technologies
Familiarity with motorsport engineering tools (data acquisition, scripting, protocols, diagnostics)
