Automotive Steering Column Ltd. operates as an independent division of the Bosch Group. Our company develops, manufactures and markets steering columns for passenger cars and commercial vehicles worldwide and is a supplier to 109 automotive manufacturers. The company is headquartered in Germany. In addition to our plant in Eger, we have 20 other locations, giving us a personal presence in the most important markets.
Job Description
The area of responsibility:
As part of the local management team, you will take over the Commercial Responsibility with the main task of developing and consistently implementing a comprehensive value enhancement concept together with the existing management and the Business Unit. You will be the point of contact for internal and external partners (e.g. banks, consultants, shareholders) as well as a figure of leadership and identification for our employees.
Your main tasks are:
- Finance and Controlling (Including Shared Service Center Accounting (SSC)):
- Be responsible for the entire financial management of the Legal Entity (ASHE) incl. P&L, balance sheet and CashFlow Planning.
- Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as Business Plans (BP) and current forecasts (CF)
- Oversee the financial accounting, cost management, FP&A, budgeting, capital budgeting, and cost estimation.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including local GAAP and IFRS
- Prepare deviation analyses, identify actions required and initiate corresponding measures together with the department heads to develop sustainable cost measures, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Prepare and present financial reports (regular and ad hoc) to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and fulfill management requests.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and manage controlling structures and KPI systems to support data-driven corporate management.
- Design and implement financial models to assess business efficiency and ROI.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in controlling processes and harmonize processes to maximize efficiency.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Define and communicate requirements for the procurement, operation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
- Manage vendor quotes for IT services and equipment procurement.
- Configure and maintain network devices, servers, and print systems.
- Collaborate with external IT service providers for support and maintenance.
- Oversee access control systems to ensure security and functionality.
2. IT Oversight:
- Define and communicate requirements for the procurement, operation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
- Manage vendor quotes for IT services and equipment procurement.
- Configure and maintain network devices, servers, and print systems.
- Collaborate with external IT service providers for support and maintenance.
- Oversee access control systems to ensure security and functionality.
3. Strategic and Operational Contributions:
- Actively participate in strategic discussions and contribute to significant business decisions.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to support business activities.
- Manage daily operational business matters while driving the business’s strategic development.
4. Leadership and Coordination:
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team with a focus on strategic planning, financial analysis, and special initiatives.
- Collaborate with global Pillar Business Unit leaders to ensure synergy and alignment across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 7 years of experience in similar roles, with proven expertise in finance, controlling, and SSC management.
- Experience in team management and leadership is mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with fluency in Hungarian and English (German is an advantage).
- Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Resilience and ability to perform under pressure.
