Job Description
The Senior Accounting Manager helps manage and actively participates in the accounting cycle to ensure the company’s accounting processes are timely, accurate, efficient, and consistent. The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of GAAP, with a particular emphasis on cost accounting, revenue recognition, job costing and margin analysis, process development, documentation and implementation. Successful candidate must be willing to roll up their sleeves to understand, explain and improve account reconciliations, visibility and transparency, ERP implementation anomalies, solution development and implementation.

Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end close activities, general ledger reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure deadlines are met
- Manage and support monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet and key P&L accounts according to deadlines
- Coordinate, administer, and control accounting operations
- Lead accounting projects and collaborate with multiple functional teams to address unique accounting issues and business requirements
- Implement new processes, systems, and technologies to streamline operations and improve data integrity
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformation projects and coordinate with other regions to implement best accounting practices
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to explain and report variances, identify trends and make improvements
- Ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial information; provide financial reports and analysis to various stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions in compliance with GAAP
- Manage, support and successfully complete internal and external audits of financials and internal controls
- Develop and prepare complex audit schedules
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Support, maintain, improve, develop process documentation and SOPs
Qualifications
- BA in Accounting or Finance
- Public accounting experience preferred; Big 4 accounting experience preferred
- 10+ years of accounting experience with superior knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, revenue recognition, job costing and margin analysis
- Experience working with fully integrated ERP (Epicor) systems and implementations of those systems
- Meticulous recordkeeping practices and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to lead teams of 8 or more to be highly effective, complete projects, and meet closing timelines
