Job Description

Due to a promotion, an exceptional leadership opportunity has become available for the position of Vice President- Revenue Cycle Management at Carilion Clinic.  Our CFO seeks “a creative, strategic leader who balances daily operations and positive patient relationships with a vision for tomorrow’s RCM environment.” 

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in an organization that is well-positioned for ICD-10, is “forward thinking” and has an established leadership team.  The incumbent will develop strategic plans and performance improvement initiatives to optimize hospital and physician provider reimbursements within a positive work place.  Responsibilities include working with Directors and Managers from across the system to establish a vision, optimize processes, deliver quality services and reports, manage cash collections, deploy technology, and ensure support for the community while complying with related regulations.

Qualifications


Qualified candidates will have 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience with hospital and physician billing and proven ability to develop strategic plans to address resource allocation, payor containment, and patient engagement. Master’s degree in administration, finance or related discipline (required).  HFMA and MGMA certifications preferred.  Experience with and knowledge of an electronic medical records system for both hospital and physician/ambulatory operations, i.e. Epic.
