Job Description
We are looking for you, a Head of Material Development Reinforcements (m/f/diverse) to lead the development of reinforcements for the BA OESL at the location Hann. Münden.
Your tasks will focus on the following activities:
- Lead a team of development engineers to develop innovative reinforcement solutions for hose and fluid applications for automotive customers
- Initiate, steer and track R&D projects worldwide in the area of responsibility
- Drive constant progression of design and manufacturing specifications
- Develop adhesion systems, validating and managing changes to reinforcements and raw materials
- Manage the portfolio and suppliers in collaboration with the Purchasing department
- Review developments internal and external with respect to technical content and intellectual property
- Technical cooperation with suppliers to support new developments and cost improvements
- Collaboration with other departments and build up knowledge to work as expert for all material related questions
- Be part of a global acting team of material specialists and support locations all around the world
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Textile Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science
- Proven leadership experience, ideally in a development team with both functional and disciplinary responsibilities
- Several years of experience in Rubber Technology, preferred in the Automotive Industry
- Profound knowledge in Reinforcement Technologies/Materials
- Profound know-how and experience in project management and also working with international project teams
- Very good English and good German language skills written and spoken
- Very good analytical skills, autonomy, good interpersonal skills, diplomacy, open-mindedness and communication skills
- You like working together with people from other cultures all around the globe
- Willingness to travel
