Job Description

  • The Customs and Foreign Trade Supervisor is responsible for the proper and timely administration of Foreign Trade Continental Automotive Guadalajara sites.
  • Required to communicate all relevant CFT matters to all levels in the organization.
  • Ensure compliant foreign trade programs declarations and renewals.
  • Relevant reporting to customs authorities for MX foreign trade programs.
  • Identify risk activities and areas to create the preventive and corrective actions and plans.
  • Coach and Lead Customs & Foreign Trade team, provides support and training to all relevant individuals and departments in the organization.
  • Supervise and follow up Customs and Foreign Trade Central Function projects and reporting.
  • Main contact with Plants to provide consultancy regarding complex operational schemes or scenarios involving CFT.  
  • Lead and advice Supply Chain Security program to ensure necessary compliance the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) program guidelines and in support of CBP's C-TPAT program.
  • Follow up of procedures regarding IMMEX and PROSEC changes: addresses, annual report, legal representative, associates, and shareholders.
  • Reconciliation of Physical Inventory (ERP) with Annex 24 Open Balances.
  • Data Validation of Annex 30.
  • Analysis of SCCCyG Portal.
  • Ensure Annex 24 section C Compliance. 
  • Execution of change of regime for CTM's, domestic sales and annual adjustments. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Economics, International Law, Finance, or related fields.
  • Advanced English 
  • Experience:
    • In international trade, customs, and regulatory compliance
    • Personnel Management 
    • Programs like IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA/AEO
    • Management of trade service provider (TSP) activities, reports, and KPIs
    • Virtual Operations / CTM's
    • In the automotive industry
    • Free Trade Agreements 
  • Knowledge: 
    • Customs and international trade laws and regulations
    • Tariff classification (HTS) and broker management
    • Auditing systems
    • Project Management 
    • PowerBI
