Please join us and contribute to our goals with your new role as NPM Purchasing Manager in our EMEA team within Purchasing@ContiTech.

Your tasks

  • Quality and timely procurement of non-production materials "NPM" and services, as well as complex capital goods, at optimal prices, or within the planned budget, in the defined areas, according to existing Continental purchasing guidelines for ContiTech in regional and global projects
  • Complete handling of the ordering process via CEOS and SAP, including any complaints handling as well as internal and external communication
  • Preparing and conducting tenders, offer comparisons, and contract negotiations for complex procurement projects in the defined areas, sometimes in cooperation with purchasing managers, create and compile Sourcing Decisions Sheets, ensure BPBoC and NDA signatures, collect financial and commercial records, identify and develop vendors
  • Starting point for contracts/agreements settlements, in partnership with Legal, plants and other regional purchasing roles and plants. To ensure these agreements are created, approved and signed and communicate to the affected regions and plants
  • Setting up cost improvement projects and tracking the achievement of goals as well as global cooperation / strategy / synergy development with different company locations.
  • Support and management of special projects
  • Secure global supply at competitive prices in full consideration of qualitative and technological aspects and respecting business ramp-up plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and extensive experience as well as related certifications
  • Several years of experience in procurement, preferably in technical purchasing (NPM area) with verifiable success
  • Confident handling of SAP and MS Office
  • Fluent in German & English (writing and speaking)
  • Strong analytic and conceptual competence
  • Exceptional communicator capable of communicating effectively within a multi-cultural and across functions as well as all levels
  • Independent and responsible way of working as well as a quick comprehension
  • Advanced negotiating skills, assertiveness, goal- and result-oriented work
  • Willingness to travel (about 5-10%)
