Job Description
As the Customer Service Representative, you will report to the Controller.
As the Customer Service Representative, you will need excellent communication skills and be customer service oriented. Experience in AS400 and SAP preferred. Must be proficient in Excel, MS Word and Access.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Handle incoming calls from customers reporting shortages and/or overages on their deliveries which includes the following:
Take telephone orders
Detailed research
Process credits and/or rebills and file customer invoices
Issue pick up slips and/or driver’s receipts
Prepare merchandise transfer sheets
Perform vendor cycle and shortage counts.
Assist Credit department in collections and completing credit files.
Provide backup to the Inventory Auditor.
Call and inform customer of route delivery changes or truck delays.
Updating customer pricing profiles
Customer invoicing and computer room operations backup.
Qualifications
Prefer 2 year college degree
One to two years experience
Must be able to work an occasional swing shift.
Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
Employment is subject to background screening. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
