Job Description
The Product Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the go-to-market plans for the customer solutions of Current. In the role of Product Manager, you will utilize technical knowledge, marketing expertise, and applied analytics to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and impact short-term and some long-term business goals.
Work Location is Beachwood, OH with onsite requirement of a minimum of four days per week in the office.
Essential Responsibilities
Product marketing lead: Responsible for identifying marketing needs to improve sales/agent effectiveness & new product/market commercialization, including but not limited to:
- Collateral, product/application images, other content for social media, training, videos, and website/digital presence
- Enriched data for IDW & Trade Services syndication
- Drive the development of processes, tools, and frameworks that can standardize product marketing activities across product lines
- Utilize Voice of Customer (VOC) research to develop customer-centric benefits, messaging, and value propositions for business execution
Market analytics, trends, and reporting:
- NEMA & EFC market analysis. Generate & submit Current sales data to NEMA & EFC. Collect, analyze, and report out on market data provide back by NEMA & EFC to identify market & share trends
- Non-NEMA& EFC market size & associated trends. Utilize external data sources to estimate market size of non-NEMA and non-EFC members in the US & Canada
- National account POS analysis. Coordinate with national account sales leaders to gather & analyze POS data at Grainger, Graybar, etc.
- Lead reoccurring competitive analysis with product teardowns, catalog/specification review, and summary. Provide commercial communication on Current advantages and identify areas to improve existing product.
Commercial partnership:
- With support of technical team, create & maintain a comprehensive competitive cross tool for sales, agents, & customer service Provide the sales and marketing teams with sales-enablement tools via Connect & other deliver methods
- Commercialize new products launch plans & optimize Traditional to LED lamp transition, as market continues to decline and legislative impacts go into effect
Qualifications
Understand the environment of assigned products including market size, competitive landscape, distribution channel and promotional opportunities for Lamp
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- technical/analytical aptitude with a minimum of 5 years work experience
Analytic ability: Ability to break down problems into manageable parts and identify trends
Team collaboration and cooperation competencies with excellent interpersonal skills able to develop relationships and influence at all levels and across cultures, including with customers and industry organization
Track record of getting results through strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Logical thinking and ability to balance long-term strategic viewpoint with tactical execution
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability managing multiple projects successfully
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Lighting industry
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $60-$85,000.
