Job Description

The On-Site Facility Supervisor is responsible for managing the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment at CMI’s customer site in Chicago, Illinois.

Key Job Functions

  • Responsible for direct on-site supervision of all engineering and mechanical staff
  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all work performed.
  • shall be available at all times, when the contract work is in progress, to receive notices, reports or requests from the customer
  • Check work orders and after-hours reports for any assignment to be completed
  • Perform/facilitate PM work orders
  • Monitor and maintaining building equipment
  • Perform QC inspections and produce QC reports
  • Oversee/manage third-party QC inspections (VTE)
  • Perform inspections of building equipment and systems
  • Perform general maintenance to common/public areas
  • Perform service requests as assigned
  • Assist in all phases of repair work
  • Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by the PM/FM
  • Assure proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools
  • Record various aspects of system operations, service activities in the NCMMS
  • Schedule and review routine inspections (rounds) of mission critical equipment
  • Order supplies, parts, and equipment necessary to support repair, maintenance and preventive maintenance functions
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • At least 5 years of recent (within the past 7 years) experience in managing personnel responsible for building operations, maintenance, and repairs within a federal facility of at least 300 square feet
  • Active Professional or Structural Engineering license for the state of IL is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
