Activities Attendant Job Description:

To ensure that all guests at the Double JJ Resort are receiving the best guest service utilizing the Double JJ Spirit.  Your duties will consist of but are not limited to hosting a wide variety of activities, sports, and crafts throughout the resort, recruiting guests to participate in activities, operating a basic cash drawer and POS system, and maintaining the operation and overall cleanliness of all Double JJ Resort entertainment areas which include all activity, craft, entertainment, and arcade areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Proof of legal ability to work within the United States of America
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office programs
• Able to be responsible for a cash drawer
• A genuine, outgoing personality

• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Legally able to operate recreation equipment such as firearms and archery equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Physically able to work for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions including high and low temperatures, rain, sun, etc
• Able to easily lift at least 50lbs

Essential Job Duties and Functions:

• Maintain the Double JJ spirit with a positive attitude and overall cheerful demeanor at all times.
• Demonstrate a basic knowledge of all areas of the resort and be able to provide excellent guest service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all emergency procedures and company protocols
• Demonstrate the knowledge of basic cash handling procedures and the POS system
• Clock in and out properly for each shift, each department area, and all breaks
• Be in proper uniform at all times.
• Maintain all opening, closing, and operational checklists
• Review and demonstrate understanding of all standard operating procedures for assigned area.
• Gain the ability to teach all crafts, activities, and recreational sports available on property
• Maintain organization, overall cleanliness, and inventory of all activities areas
• Interact with and recruit guests for various activities, crafts, and sports

Other Duties and Functions:

• Activities are part of the Programming Department, which also includes Special Events, Entertainment, Aquatics, Golf, and Equestrian.  Activities Attendants may be sharing job duties with all departments
• Consistently be looking for new ways to interact and entertain our guests
• Demonstrate a commitment to guest service and overall satisfaction
• All other duties as assigned

Housing:

Affordable on-site accommodations are available for summer seasonal staff who choose to live on.  All housing is community style with room assignments being made by the house manager based on double to quad occupancy.  Roommate requests may be taken into account but are not guaranteed. Staff houses have community kitchens and living rooms.  Each bedroom is supplied with a bed, mattress, and dresser or closet for the occupant’s use.  It is the responsibility of the occupant to provide his or her own linens and personal items; housekeeping is not available in staff housing. Smoking is not permitted in any staff housing.  Shuttle service is available for live on staff to commute between housing and your work locations.
