International Language Centers

Synopsis

Are you passionate about working with international students? Are you committed to excellence and to ensuring that students studying abroad get the best support and services available?

If so then you might be the ideal Administrative Coordinator for the EF International Language Center in Boston.

 

The school is located in Brighton, Massachusetts and has a student body of approximately 700-1200 students. You would have the amazing chance to get to know and work with an incredible population of international students. We have students from over 50 different countries and ranging in age from 16-65. The majority of our students are between the ages of 16-25.  

 

The Role

In this entry-level role at the school, you will work directly with international students and be responsible for management of all program bookings. The right candidate must have strong organizational and sales skills as they will manage student questions, inquiries and potential bookings as well as current student files and database.

 

You will act as a liaison with the many EF international sales offices as well as local community organizations. Communication skills, both oral and written, are important as you assist students with immigration and insurance matters.

 

In conjunction with the school director, you will be responsible for planning large events and handling a variety of student issues and emergencies. To excel in this position, you must be flexible, personable, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills. Most importantly, you must enjoy working in a very diverse, multicultural environment with students from all over the world.

 

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 1-2 years’ work experience preferred
  • Prior experience working with college students
  • Previous customer service or sales experience preferred
  • Computer skills required, Excel skills preferred
  • Proficiency in foreign languages and/or travel experience required
  • Organized – people in the position will need to multi-task and handle a large number of emails and personal interactions each day
  • Flexible – people in the position need to be able to roll up their sleeves, jump in, and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
