We’re transforming our professional services team to accommodate the needs of our growing target market. The Director of Professional Services is a highly visible, key role within EMS Software, reporting to the VP of Professional Services.  With a keen eye for customer success and loyalty, the individual in this position will assist our sales team with positioning the services needed for implementation and will manage a team of Implementation Consultants that are focused on helping our clients increase productivity, attract and retain people, reduce costs, and differentiate their brand through the use of EMS Software.
The Director of Professional Services will have the experience and educational background to effectively lead a growing team within the Services organization – recruiting, managing, directing and inspiring a team with a diverse set of skills and backgrounds. You will have experience delivering services in a measurable way – always looking to improve customer satisfaction, productivity and efficiency of the operation through scalable processes and improved methodology.

Essential Duties:
• Direct a team of Implementation Consultants – ensuring that:
o Implementations are of high quality, delivered on-time, and within budget.
o Implementation Consultants are trained, equipped and inspired to deliver excellent implementations.
o Implementation Consultants are meeting utilization and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Maintain a candidate pipeline that meets the needs of our target market and ensures that we can respond to rapid growth.
• Maintain a services backlog by supporting sales efforts and responding to service-only inquiries.
• Work with sales to position services and draft statements of work in support of sales pursuits.
• Act consistently with our TRAITS – trust, respect, accountability, integrity, and trust.
On a typical day, you might:
• Meet one on one with a Consultant to review their portfolio, their projections, and provide guidance on project delivery.
• Review key metrics to ensure that we meet revenue goals, taking action on items that put our success at-risk.
• Interview potential candidates to ensure that we can grow the team on increased demand.
• Run a biweekly team meeting or weekly project overview meeting.
• Meet with a Sales Executive to review discovery notes for a client with complex needs in order to prepare for a client visit.
• Make revisions to our onboarding strategy so that Consultants are able to get up to speed on product and process quickly.
• Take a call from an unhappy customer whose expectations were mismanaged – during the course of the call, restore their confidence in EMS Software and realign expectations.
• Present at the monthly Town Hall meeting on recent customer go lives and Professional Services performance.
• Deliver a presentation on implementation strategy to a class of new-hires.
• Represent EMS Software at our Annual User’s Conference or onsite with a customer.
• Brainstorm with the Product team on how to reduce our time to value through product enhancements.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience in program management with enterprise class software implementation delivery.
• Demonstrated experience meeting revenue and customer satisfaction targets with limited resources.
• 3+ years of managing people (direct reports).
• Experience with the Target Market – large organizations in the financial services, professional services, healthcare, technology, energy, and higher education industries.
• A strong work ethic, exhibiting leadership by example.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills including the proven ability to recruit, mentor, and motivate.
• The ability to solve problems creatively. Ability to develop and manage business solutions for complex problems.
• The ability to hold yourself and your team accountable to results and the willingness to share your performance results transparently.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with a willingness to develop open and honest professional relationships.
• Strong business writing skills.
• An analytical mind with the demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to adapt to a frequently-changing and growing environment, which may result in changed priorities or changed job duties.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows Server, IIS, and network or systems administration.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technology or business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.  If based outside of the Denver area, more frequent travel required to attend team and company events in Denver.
• EMS Software or meeting management software experience a plus.
