Job Description

Are you a gifted troubleshooter with strong customer service skills? Data Communications Support is looking for individuals to help support our managed file transfer systems. We're looking for people with managed file transfer knowledge and scripting experience is a plus. The ideal candidate would be able to learn how to visualize our entire system, see how the pieces interact, understand the data flows, and root cause system issues.

This support position is a key role on a collaborative project and production support team, which is responsible for the production support of business to business and internal file/data transfer solutions. These systems satisfy customer and organizational business requirements and provide solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. The support role involves understanding business problems and opportunities while applying technical skills in the support and enhancement of critical production systems.

Data Communications Support communicates with branches around the world, solving dozens of issues on a daily basis. Every day is a new challenge as we work to set up and maintain data connections with our globally distributed trading partners and branches. We use logic to troubleshoot connection issues, assess underlying infrastructure and evaluate critical data flow dependencies. It is fast paced, problem management in a 24/7 environment. This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional customer service
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Superior organization skills
  • Ability to create instructional and technical documentation
  • Proven troubleshooting skills
  • Analytical troubleshooting and problem solving of support issues relating to  HTTP/S  protocols
  • Familiarity with Web Services, SOAP or REST calls
  • Familiarity with encryption and authentication protocols
  • Familiarity with SQL, PowerShell, and Regular Expressions

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge/experience in managed file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, HTTP, AS2)
  • Knowledge/experience with network routing/protocols, firewalls and TCP/IP
  • Knowledge/experience with scripting including PowerShell
  • Fundamental knowledge of SQL and databases
  • Experience with parsing logs and error log research
  • Strong data analysis and written communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions based on available data
  • Strong initiative to quickly learn new skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining deadline constraints
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $68,000 to $80,000
