Job Description
Scope:
Support the Branch in complying in Customs and any other
government agencies’ regulations
- Declare all different types of shipping permits.
- Applying Ordinary and Preferential Certification of Origin.
- Coordinate with the respective departments on supporting documents required. Ensuring all documents are in accordance and timeline to provide approved customs entry declarations with help of pre-customs entry, checklist, Asia Customs SOP, and pre-alert database.
- Attend to customs enquiries and secure the permit approval.
- To monitor and ensure all Cargo Manifest Declarations reports are submitted timely to Singapore Customs for both Import and Export permits transactions.
- Creating file and preparing billing invoice. To ensure data accurate and timely billing to customers.
- Generating essential customers’ or others reports as required.
- Updating Asia Customs SOP with customers’ requirements and expectations.
- Adhering compliance to Expeditors policy and expectations.
- Maintain Branch procedure on customs entry declarations.
- Key Performance Indicators are met within customers’ requirements and fulfillment Singapore Customs / Competent Authorities rules and regulations.
- Performing internal audit for customs filling.
5 days’s work week with 1 off day and 1 rest day (Sunday) within a calendar week
Roster 1 - 8:30 am – 6:00 pm (1 hour lunch break) for 4 days
8:30 am – 5:30 pm (1 hour lunch break) for 1 day
Roster 2 - 12:00 pm – 21:30 pm (1 hour dinner break) for 4 days
12:30 pm – 21:30 pm (1 hour dinner break) for 4 day
Roster 3 - 2:00 pm – 11:30 pm (1 hour dinner break) for 4 days
2:30 pm – 11:30 pm (1 hour dinner break) for 1 day

Qualifications
- Tertiary Education with 2 years relevant experience
1. Good working knowledge in computer software applications including email, Microsoft Excel and Words
2. Good interpersonal, communication in both spoken and writing, and problem-solving skills
3. Fluent in written and spoken English
4. Knowledge of Singapore Customs local rules and regulations
5. Knowledge of related Competent Authorities regulations
6. Knowledge of using TradeNet system and able to declare with accuracy in customs entry declarations
7. Able to declare all different customs entry declarations / permits types
