Job Description

  • Supports clinical testing of pharmaceutical products
  • Gathers data and documents test results. 
  • Reviews test results to ensure compliance with standards; reports any quality anomalies.
  • Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements.
  • Participates in required training activities.
  • Maintains laboratory supplies.
  • Completes test records and reviews data.
  • Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.
  • Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.
  • May assist in qualification and validation of methods
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Leadership responsibilities:

  • Coordinate scheduling, allocation of responsibilities, training and new hire on-boarding process
  • Monitors the day to day operations of QC analyst staff
  • May support peer group lead operations
  • Participates in training of other employees.
  • Facilitate staff access to systems, controlled areas, etc. using approved procedures
  • Participates in productivity tracking and prepares monthly metrics and quality reports.
  • Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Participates in new hire interviews
  • Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience
  • Previous leadership experience is required and experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Experience in HPLC, LCMS, and/or UV-Vis Spectroscopy strongly preferred
  • Level will be determined based on relevant education and/or experience

Additional Information

This position is full-time on a Wed-Sat 1pm-11:30pm shift. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply! Base Compensation ranges from $23-25/hour dependent on relevant experience and education. 2nd shift has a 10% shift differential.
