Job Description
We are creating a new position within our organization for an experienced and proactive Asset Manager to take responsibility for the management of our Leasing House. The Leasing House is dedicated to acquiring and leasing analytical instruments for our laboratory operations. This role will be integral in ensuring the efficient acquisition, leasing, and lifecycle management of assets to maximize their value, performance, and compliance with regulations. The Asset Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including labs, vendors, and senior management, to optimize asset utilization and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Management: Take full ownership of the inventory, deployment, tracking, and lifecycle management of leased analytical instruments, ensuring alignment with operational needs across laboratories.
- Maintenance Coordination: Organize and manage the scheduling of preventive maintenance and calibration for instruments, ensuring consistent performance and minimizing downtime.
- Client Support: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, responding to asset-related inquiries, providing troubleshooting support, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Lifecycle Management: Develop and implement comprehensive asset lifecycle strategies, from acquisition and deployment to maintenance and disposal, with a focus on optimizing asset performance and cost efficiency.
- Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of asset performance data to identify trends, assess potential risks, and implement strategies for improvement or cost reduction.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all leasing and asset management processes comply with relevant regulations, including tax laws, industry-specific compliance standards, and intracompany pricing rules. This includes ensuring adherence to pricing policies for transactions between departments or business units.
- Documentation Management: Establish and maintain a centralized system for managing all asset-related documentation, including lease agreements, maintenance records, and regulatory filings.
- Reporting & Insights: Regularly prepare and present detailed reports on asset performance, utilization, and lifecycle management to senior leadership, offering strategic insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external suppliers, service providers, and maintenance contractors to ensure timely delivery of services and cost-effective support.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, including Finance, Procurement, and Labs, to align asset management activities with business objectives and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in asset management, preferably in the laboratory or scientific equipment industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
