We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team and ensure that our IT systems are functioning at their best.
Responsibilities
As an IT Support Specialist, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Classification of tickets/requests from customers in the company ticketing system
- Following SOP and instructions to ensure smooth operations
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, printers, and scanners
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests, both in person and over the phone
- Providing technical support across the defined IT Region (ITR12)
- Setting up accounts for new users and assisting with onboarding processes
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary to ensure functionality
- Testing new technology and implementing upgrades as needed
- Adhering to and complying with internal Key Guidance Documents (KGD), such as (but not limited to):
- Password Policy
- Naming Conventions
- Mobile Device Management Policy
- Organisation of IT at Eurofins
- CEE IT Infrastructure internal rules
- Occasional travel to Eurofins sites to support IT systems and infrastructure
- Managing work schedules and tracking time effectively to ensure productivity
- Performing other tasks as directed by your Line Manager or Functional Manager, as required by the nature of your position.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience in IT support or similar roles
- Strong understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A technical, logical thought process and excellent problem-solving skills
- The ability to stick to strict deadlines and manage time effectively
- Strong prioritisation and delegation abilities
- A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in troubleshooting and installations
- Willingness to travel: Open and happy to travel once every 1-2 months to Turkey (Izmir) for a full week (direct flight from Budapest available)
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Hungarian is a must. Any additional languages from the CEE region will be considered a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Please note that the role may require occasional lifting and carrying of heavy equipment.
