Job Description

As the Director of Business Development, you’ll be responsible for managing existing partners and bringing on new partners for TechBargains.com and PlanetBargains.com.  The ideal candidate must be analytical, have great communication skills and be a strategic problem solver.  This person is one who thrives in a flexible, innovative, metrics driven, and highly collaborative team environment. 

Responsibilities (What You’ll Be Doing):

  • Optimize merchant relationships and bring on new merchant partners.
  • Negotiate exclusive deals and commission increases in exchange for additional site exposure.
  • Contribute creatively to finding new ways of growing the pie for all parties.
  • Grow the revenue contribution from current and new product categories.
  • Travel (10%) to attend on-site meetings and conferences.
  • Work with product and development group on projects that grow revenue.
  • Collaborate in development of new ideas, promotions and marketing plans.
  • Perform other functions as requested from time to time.
  • Ensure that all revenue and budget goals are exceeded are met and exceeded.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales and account management.
    • Strong analytical skills to monitor and to identify trends in data and an ability to communicate these trends to partners.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong understanding of the ecommerce, affiliate marketing, and tech industry.
    • Highly organized, ability to focus, schedule and prioritize and multitask.
    • Self-starter and able to motivate other team members.
    • Passion for the deal and coupon space is a plus.
