Job Description

As a Controls Technician for Fiberon Decking, you will be essential in ensuring our control systems operate reliably and efficiently. You’ll provide critical support by troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving the uptime of vital manufacturing equipment.

Schedule: We are hiring for 1st (7 am-3 pm), 2nd (3 pm-11 pm), and 3rd (11 pm-7 am) shifts.
Compensation: $30-40/hour (based on qualifications & experience).
Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 during the first year of employment.

You’ll collaborate closely with control engineers, using your expertise to support and enhance control systems. Whether you’re assisting in new installations, performing emergency repairs, or documenting system logic, your role is vital in maintaining a safe and productive environment.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in industrial controls, with strong skills in reading schematics, PLC logic, and using testing equipment.

What you will be doing:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve control systems issues to minimize downtime.
  • Support project work with Controls Engineers, from concept to completion.
  • Perform emergency repairs and assist in installing new equipment.
  • Document work performed on control systems and support process improvements.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and actively participate in safety programs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial controls.
  • Ability to read and navigate PLC logic, schematics, and instrumentation feedback.
  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC systems and electrical testing equipment.
