Job Description
As the Accounting Manager- Consolidations, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the financial integrity of our highly matrixed organization. You will manage and guide the consolidation process for the entire company while maintaining accurate ledger accounts, implementing internal controls, and collaborating with various finance teams and leadership. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing audits, managing financial reporting, and contributing to strategic initiatives while managing 1 direct report.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and (5+) years’ experience in corporate or public accounting with experience in US GAAP and internal controls.
This is a hybrid-based role which includes working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in our Deerfield, IL location.
What you will be doing
- Manage the close and consolidation process across teams, managing global intercompany processes and reviewing US GAAP consolidated results for timely, high-quality communication.
- Develop and coach a direct report, providing regular feedback and participating in talent and performance reviews.
- Review consolidation journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a global consolidation of 100+ legal entities.
- Document and communicate new processes to centralize consolidations and lead the implementation of Oracle EPM.
- Prepare month-end reports, including financial statements and key supplemental data.
- Resolve discrepancies in intercompany accounts.
- Collaborate with the Controllership and review subsidiary financial information, engaging with leadership on analysis.
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline the close cycle and reduce manual work.
- Support team projects for quarter-end and year-end reporting, process documentation, and system optimization.
- Maintain effective internal controls for the financial close, ensuring SOX compliance and reducing financial risk.
- Collaborate with auditors to enhance internal policies for SOX compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of public accounting or industry accounting experience required.
- Must have a high degree of technical knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA, or MBA
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Products (EPM)
- People management experience
