Canam Group in Brasov began as a small detailing office in 1998 which afterwards became a major company on the Brasov market with its own building and more than 400 employees. 

Our team in Brasov provides 3D modelling, detailing and estimation services for constructions such as buildings, steel structures and bridges. We work for our plants and offices in Canada and the Unites States and for other North American steel fabricators. 

We also have our own IT team developing software for internal use.

Collect and evaluate project data and calculate the structural loads to estimate the quantities, costs, resources and labor needed to produce construction elements according to the customer’s requirements and industry practices using specific tools and applications while ensuring project criteria are met and consistent with the corporate mission and values.

Essential Functions

• Gather, examine and interprets information from project documents;

• Report discrepancies and missing information on the contract documents;

• Analyze and calculate the loads  in order to dimension the building structural elements.

• Detect special conditions, components or possible issues and propose solutions;

• Complete quantity take-offs for construction elements;

• Complete project quotations;

• Evaluate cost by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements;

• Complete key plans, reports and lists as required;

• Transmit complete and clear information to the other trades involved in the project;

• Technical faculty diploma, Civil Engineering is a plus 
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, specifications, governmental regulations, drawings and job specifications
• Self-organized, attentive, capable of making decisions based on accumulated knowledge
• Computer skills/MS Excel medium level knowledge
• Knowledge of English or/and French language
• Good learning and communication skills: we will provide a training program to familiarize you with specific standards, norms and software (6-8 weeks)

Canam Group Romania began in Brasov as a small detailing office in 1998 which afterwards became a major company on the Brasov market, with its own building and more than 400 employees. In 2024, we expanded our presence in Romania by opening a second office in Cluj-Napoca.

The Romanian offices are part of Canam Group, a global company employing 5,100 people across five countries: Canada, United States, Romania, India and the Philippines.

While our teams in Romania provide 3D modeling, detailing and estimation services for the construction industry such as buildings, steel structures and bridges, we also provide various technical services for other industries as well. The main market is in North America, yet we are also expanding our services in other markets.
