Job Description

Purpose of role 

As an & Other Stories Visual Ambassador you are an inspirational leader and brand ambassador who is responsible to drive sales and customer experience. You lead and develop your team by using our Values and Global Leadership Expectations. You oversee and own all functions within your department(s).  

 

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:  

 

Customer Service 

  • Responsible for driving an organic customer service experience that is applicable to the local customer 

  • Leads by example and coaches staff in the moment to customer service expectations  

  • Promotes loss prevention and safety through customer service  

 

Sales and Commerciality 

  • Ensures that the visual presentation and styling are accurate to maximize sales and create an inspirational shopping experience for our customers 

  • Actively works in a commercial way to maximize sales 

  • Ensures garment presentation and garment care is executed and consistent throughout the store per & Other Stories guidelines 

  • Plans and executes all campaign set ups, concept upkeep, activities and promotions  

  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of display materials and keeps the visual room clean and organized 

  • Plans and works with sales and operation goals to drive growth 

 

Leadership  

  • Trains, coaches and gives daily feedback on merchandise presentation and signage to the store staff 

  • Works as a team player with willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances and expectations  

  • Supports team with in-store routines when necessary 

  • Being straight forward and open minded including when receiving and sharing feedback

Job Status:  Non-Exempt, Hourly (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Qualifications

Minimum Candidate Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree in a Fashion industry specialty preferred 

  • 6-12 months of retail visual merchandising experience 

  • Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds 

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance 

  • Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool 

Competencies: 

  • Strong visual merchandising skills and the ability to drive business through creativity, fashion consciousness and commerciality 

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills  

  • Ability to provide day to day visual training and guidance through & Other Stories shared values 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment 

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

  • Strong verbal communication skills 

  • Able to work independently while still working within a team environment 

  • Ability to provide feedback in a constructive and professional way 

  • Ability to handle conflict and resolve problems constructively 

  • Must be able to work with hand and power operated tools and lift in order to execute display set ups 

  • Ability to work flexible hours and extended hours at times 

  • May be required to travel to support other stores

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $19.67 - $21.63 hourly**

For permanent employees, you will be eligible for a quarterly store performance-based bonus
