    Job Description

    As a Quality Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to lead suppliers and their production organizations, systems, and processes to meet COS requirements. You will take full ownership of product quality from sample development to bulk production and customer use. Demonstrating a strong commitment to COS product quality, you will go above and beyond by coaching and developing our partners with a sense of urgency and strong ownership.


    Working in the role you will be responsible for:

    • Empower suppliers to consistently meet high product quality standards as demanded by the business and COS customers.
    • Provide suppliers with essential quality guidance, including making and workmanship standards, production know-how, and key details that make a difference, additionally update suppliers on COS’s quality direction strategy.
    • Enable suppliers to manufacture high-quality garments that meet luxurious standards and adhere to a Zero Defect strategy, from sample development in the sample room to inline and final production stages.
    • Guide suppliers and their production teams, systems, processes, and capabilities to meet COS requirements.
    • Take full ownership of product quality from sample development to bulk production and customer use.
    • Ensure the accuracy of sample making, measurements, and manage technical risks.
    • Perform inline and final quality inspections
    • Collaborate with Merchandising and Quality managers to execute market development plans, supplier strategies, and product strategies.
    • Regularly monitor and manage the quality performance of products and suppliers, providing continuous feedback and taking necessary actions to enhance standards.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrate strong technical and production quality experience.
    • Product development experience including sampling prosses
    • Serve as a COS Brand quality ambassador, embodying COS Quality Guideline Principles (Longevity, Premium Making, Innovative Materials and Solutions, Considered Details).
    • Proactively ensure a thorough understanding of COS's current state and future direction, actively contributing to our progress.
    • Consistently introduce new ideas with a sense of urgency.
    • Dedicate majority of time at suppliers, in factories as well as close cooperation with Buying Office Pattern makers and Merchandisers
    • Spend the majority of time at suppliers and factories, working closely with Buying Office Pattern Makers and Merchandisers.
    • Relevant production type(s) knowledge -high complexity level preferably in woven and tailoring
    • Possess relevant production knowledge, particularly in high-complexity areas such as woven and tailoring.
    • Experience with luxury brands is a plus.
    • Fluent in English
    • Flexibility to travel
    • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to build trust.

    Additional Information

    This is a full-time and permanent position, based at least 3 days per week in Focșani, Romania. Financial Relocation may be considered for candidates not currently based in the area.

    The Quality Technologist is part of COS Production Quality Department and reports to Quality Manager based in Istanbul. Turkiye.
