Job Description

Overall Job Function 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area Manager to join our team in Barcelona or Madrid in Spain. This role is crucial in driving sales, maximizing profitability, and ensuring excellence in store operations. As an Area Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of stores, lead a high-performing team, and play a key role in the recruitment, training, and development of staff. You  also drive the execution of a unique omni-customer experience . 

 Your main responsibilities 

Sales & Profit Analysis

  • Analyze and monitor sales and profit KPIs for all stores in your area. 

  • Identify opportunities, create action plans, and implement strategies to maximize results across stores. 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Oversee recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for store teams and the area team. 

  • Motivate and inspire your teams to consistently deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business goals. 

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure all stores adhere to H&M standards in visual merchandising, stock management, and customer service. 

  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure that the omni-canal execution meets company standards.  

  • Provide coaching, support, and feedback to store managers and teams. 

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior management to align area goals with the company’s overall strategy. 

  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge. 

  

Qualifications

Your skills  

  • Strong commercial skills and a customer-focused mindset (store and online). 

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in retail or a related industry. 

  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and act on insights. 

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (both written and spoken). 

  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel regularly within the Barcelona area. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others. 

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. 

 Education

  • High School Diploma 

  • Bachelor’s Degree will be a plus 

Additional Information

This is a full-time position and will be based in one of our Areas in Spain, the possible location could be Barcelona or Madrid, based on area destination. For this reason, the candidate should be able to move to Barcelona or Madrid and travel throughout the national territory.
