Certification Specialist for Kazakhstan & Ukraine

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Certification Specialist, you will be responsible for certification EAC (Technical regulation of Customs Union), State registration of fashion retail textile goods and ensuring business continuality and compliance with all applicable legislation and certification requirements, safeguarding our business operations across all product categories. Your role will involve monitoring regulatory changes, managing certification processes, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

You will:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of applicable legislation, including technical regulations, certification, hygienic and labelling requirements for commercial and non-commercial goods.
  • Monitor legislative changes and take timely action to communicate and implement updates.
  • Choose certification schemes based on product types and business needs.
  • Organize certification-inspection visits to manufacturing facilities, if required. 
  • Ensure accuracy in applications for Certificates or Declarations of Conformity, State Registration documents.
  • Make informed decisions to minimize unnecessary costs, such as avoiding certification for low-quantity orders or opting for local supply when feasible.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams (Import/Export, Production and Suppliers, Product Compliance, Merchandising, and EU Warehouse) and external stakeholders (government authorities, customs brokers, certification service providers).
  • Select and manage certification service partners and independent test laboratories through a tendering process.
  • Represent and protect the company’s interests in communication with stakeholders and governmental agencies.

You will work closely with colleagues from Merchandising, Legal and Production teams. Together, you'll ensure business continuality and compliance with all applicable legislation and certification requirements, safeguarding the business operations across all product categories.

We are looking for people with…

  • Experience in certification of textile, cosmetics, and homeware products.
  • Ability to interpret and verify application for certificates, read and use test protocols.
  • Experience in customs brokerage and importing textile goods is a significant advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Fluent in English and Russian to effectively interact with internal teams and external governmental bodies.

  • Familiar with test methods, certification schemes, and HS code classification rules.
  • Proficient in communication and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
