Job Description
The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading both strategy and execution for multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive inbound demand and lead acquisition. You will be responsible for communicating and amplifying a unified brand story for Her Campus Media and generating new leads for our sales team, while tracking performance and optimizing for success.
As the Brand Marketing Strategist, you will play a vital role in developing data-driven marketing strategies to attract a qualified audience to Her Campus Media’s owned and operated channels.
Qualified candidates will have experience in inbound marketing, a strong understanding of Gen Z media and marketing, deep experience working in social media, and excellent writing and communication skills. This role reports directly to the Director of Integrated Marketing Strategy and works closely with the VP of Integrated Marketing, Business Development team leadership, and company founders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution for demand generation campaigns across all marketing channels, including but not limited to company blog, corporate website, corporate social media accounts, paid social (LinkedIn), digital advertising, SEM, email marketing, and industry conferences/events.
- Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our digital brand presence (including blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, reports, webinars, social posts, infographics, etc.)
- Partner closely with the HCM Research team to translate our proprietary audience insights into valuable sales tools and client facing materials while positioning HCM and HCM executives as the thought leaders and experts on all things Gen Z.
- Develop and maintain a robust library of sales enablement tools to help communicate HCM products and offerings to our client targets including case studies, product overviews, proactive proposals, capability presentations, etc.
- Collaborate closely with sales to develop effective account-based marketing strategies to influence and help convert target accounts.
- Identify and manage all pressworthy opportunities and award submissions, working alongside our PR agency to highlight HCM partnerships, insights, and latest company news.
- Establish closed-loop analytics with Sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into qualified leads for the organization.
- Support on proposals and RFP requests on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree (or other college degree) with a focus in business, communications or marketing preferred
- 6+ years of full-time experience in a marketing role at a publisher and/or agency, with hands-on experience producing client facing sales materials
- Strong writing and editing skills, with experience creating content across marketing channels
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Passion for understanding Gen Z consumer behavior and infusing their voice into client facing materials
- Preferred experience using Google Workspace, Dropbox, Asana, and Slack

Compensation: $80,000 - 90,000
