Job Description
HookLogic engineering teams build our core product - they're developing proprietary software used by some of the world’s largest e-commerce retailers. Engineers work on interesting scalability issues that are literally industry-defining. We grow our teams from within and seek to develop and promote our leadership from these teams. We look for individuals who continually improve their command of object-oriented languages, frameworks, and distributed computing to ensure they--and the company--stay in the lead. Our systems are built with C#, Java ASP.NET, RESTful services, JavaScript, SQL Server and more.
About the Job
Integrating the supply and external demand sides of the Retail Search Exchange network are the core responsibility of the Client Engineering team at HookLogic. Client Engineers must be creative thinkers who can design and deploy professional applications using the newest technologies to solve real business problems. We spend our time developing and improving integration methodologies, adding new Publisher and Partner inventory (millions of people every day will be exposed to your code). We've expanded our platform and won game-changing clients over the past few months, and are looking for innovative ways to create scale the network with an emerging set of Partners.
- As a Client Engineering Software Engineer you will work directly with some of the largest and most powerful retail companies in the world:
- You will create and maintain highly fault tolerant client- and server-side integrations that will be used by hundreds of millions of Internet users around the world.
- Assess client business requirements against current technology capabilities. You will execute new proof-of-concept services to address client specific challenges.
- As a member of the only engineering team that works directly with clients and customers, you will be the face of HookLogic’s technology. You will have the opportunity to impress clients with your competence, knowledge and composure.
- Participate in Hack-a-thons that are held multiple times a year.
Qualifications
You'll have a strong educational background - a Bachelor/Master degree in CS or other technical/science/math—you'll use what you learned in your day-to-day work. You'll be well suited to work in a high-growth company and be able to adjust as new opportunities arise. You will able to think on your feet, solve problems quickly and epitomize grace under pressure.
• 5+ years of development experience
• Extensive experience with OOP in C#, Java, or other language(s)
• Skilled with JavaScript, JQuery, and JSON/XML.
• Requires little oversight beyond initial direction
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
• The ability to clearly express technical concept verbally and in writing.
• The confidence and discretion to work directly with clients as required.
• Self-motivator with strong work ethic and the ability to multitask
