Job Description

As a Software Engineer in the R&D team, you’ll be responsible for delivering quality software by applying sound development practices and leveraging test-driven development methodology. Based on user stories and functionality specification, you will develop software components as they relate to our Mobile Workforce Management.  Our team is using mobile technologies such as Xamarin Studio for multi-platform mobile development for iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.  You will be responsible for delivering quality mobile software by applying sound development practices and development methodology and will be reporting to a Development Manager.

The products you’ll help create have real world impact.  Built specifically for electric, gas and water utilities, our solutions rapidly automate and optimize any field work activity or process, improving outage response times and worker effectiveness. The results are improved reliability and responsiveness, increased worker safety and productivity, and a reduced environmental impact as compared to traditional utility operations.  Large and small utilities globally rely on us to keep their crew and customers safe.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform bug analysis within certain timeframes based on issue priority, and resolve bugs and issues in a timely fashion
  • Perform user story analysis during the initial development stages
  • Work with product owners and other development team members to design and code features based on user stories and tasks
  • Assist in the estimation of user stories prior to selection for development
  • Collaborate with product owners, QA analysts and other team members to complete tasks and issues prior to delivery to customers and Client Services
  • Ability to create test automation scripts and engage in QA testing activities as required to ensure software quality.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

·  A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology. 

· 3+ years of development experience in a software product company, including several years of mobile development experience, with minimum 2 year with MAUI experience.

· Development experience with iOS and/or Android platform

· Development experience with .NET using C#,Java script,HTML,CSS .

· Experience successfully designing and implementing mobile applications with an aesthetic and functional UI

· Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability, and attention to detail

· A solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and object-oriented development

· A team player as well as able to work independently with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines

· The ability to work in distributed Global team set up 

· Strong verbal and written communications skills
