Job Description

High visibility, high impact role where you will have an opportunity to lead the success of critical internal programs. In this role, you will collaborate with world-class engineers and leaders to define program objectives, milestones, timeframes and ensure timely delivery of innovative solutions in the SaaS and platform domains.

This position requires creative problem solving to anticipate challenges in execution, identify bottlenecks, and work collaboratively with teams to implement effective migrations.

You will coordinate the development and maintenance of platform domain (delivery of infrastructure through code, automation of software deployment, observability, supporting enterprise cloud software or related areas) while driving operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization

 

Job duties:

  • Successfully managing complex development projects
  • Would work with the Infrastructure & Site Reliability Engineering organization to ensure the stability, supportability, performance and operation maturity of all Sitecore's Saas products
  • Oversee release activities from planning through execution and delivery
    • Drive the stability, scalability, supportability, performance and operational maturity of Sitecore products through the engagement of ISRE with R&D teams
  • Conduct comprehensive budget analyses
  • Track and report on key performance metrics to monitor progress and success
  • Ensure stable, scalable and supportable release
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, providing regular updates
  • Facilitate program-level agile events and champion best practices

Qualifications

  • Excellent leadership and motivation skills
  • Experience in some infrastructure engineering, aws/azure/gcp, site reliability, devops, configuration as code or automation
  • Strong project/program management skills
  • Ability to get the most of out some strong personalities
  • Work as a team player
  • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and commitment to excellence 
  • Collaborating with R&D stakeholders and external partners to align organizational objectives and strategic goals  

 Requirements:

  • This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information systems or closely related field 
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering / system engineering
  • Knowledge of Scrum / Kanban
  • Knowledge of re-building systems and services in microservices
  • Extensive knowledge of project management
