Job Description

iKhokha has an opportunity for a seasoned Marketing Manager, reporting to the Head of Acquisitions and working closely with the Product, Creative and Performance Teams to help us shape our brand in the market and contribute towards our explosive rate of growth. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a comprehensive all round marketing skill set, who will be developing and implementing our short, medium and long-term marketing strategies.

iKhokha has an ambitious and exciting product roadmap in the years ahead, and in this role you will be focused on go-to-market strategy and execution, audience definition, positioning, messaging, competitive analysis and channel and sales enablement programs that bring this roadmap to life.

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in marketing, GTM planning and execution, champions the voice of the consumer and is strategically inclined to sharpen our engagement plans in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to create awareness and drive acquisition
  • Understand and utilize market trends, market sizing, competitor & customer analysis, benchmarking
  • Executing marketing campaigns across all media platforms and identified channels
  • Empower the sales team with marketing content and campaigns that will help drive sales

What would you be responsible for? 

  • You will be part of the growth team that enables rapid growth. You will be key member of the team responsible for building the brand, marketing our products and acquiring new customers.
  • Marketing a set of products and features (i.e. Card Machines, Online Payments, App etc.) in close partnership with the Product, Sales, Retention, Partnership and Performance teams. You will act as the glue that brings these teams together when bringing products to market across various channels
  • Developing deep knowledge about the customers, market, competitors, & regulation.
  • Involved in building the value proposition, pricing, positioning, messaging for these products/features, keeping in mind customer needs & the competitive landscape.
  • Adopting a portfolio view of all the products in the company, and ensuring that positioning makes sense relative to each other, in terms of audience and channels
  • Ensuring that this value proposition is communicated via all the customer touch points
  • Partnering with the Performance, Retention & Sales teams as well as in-house creative teams to launch campaigns focused on customer growth.
  • Setting and tracking success metrics for launch and campaign performance, and optimising through continuous testing.
  • Driving revenue growth by improving customer acquisition, activation, engagement, retention & referrals.
  • Supporting Sales Teams with material and lead generation opportunities

  • Demonstrated reliance on data with the ability to identify trends and articulate business results achieved by past marketing initiatives.
  • Exceptional planning, communications, and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats, manage several projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast paced  scale-up environment

The Deal Breakers:

  • Advanced & proven strategic, analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Advanced & proven people management and product/sales team collaboration experience
  • Minimum of 10+ year’s experience in a Marketing role with a focus on implementation and GTM
  • Strong exposure or experience in Retail or Trade Marketing
  • ATL / Offline /Digital Media – being able to plan, budget, track, measure and report
  • Content Marketing and PR – being able to develop the earned and paid strategy, lead and execute accordingly

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum marketing degree
  • Honours/MBA preferable
