Job Description
The Retail Distribution Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of International and Domestic Retail Shipments, as well as supervising the Retail Distribution material handlers. They will work to meet the daily requested schedules and deadlines while holding on to all compliance requirements and maintaining 100% customer scorecards. They will monitor inventory to ensure 100% fill rates. This role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for managing a team of 8 Material Handlers, Receiving and Order Clerks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coaching and developing the team toward meeting Division and Customer Order Metrics.
- Incorporates a Quality mindset. Regards Quality as one of the primary criteria when considering a new supplier or renewing agreements with current suppliers and establishing KPIs to measure Supplier and Team success.
- Updates and Implements SOPs around all Retail Distribution tasks and ensures these SOPs are part of the ISO Controlled Document procedure.
- Supervise receiving of stock for timely put away.
- Coordinate the drayage of purchase orders to our warehouse.
- Analyze Inventory and Over Allocated items, to ensure orders are adjusted.
- Complete a daily Open Order Report.
- Coordinate weekly cycle counts.
- Order supplies as needed for the office and warehouse
- Oversee all Retail Shipments, Including, but not limited to
- Creating and transmitting ASNs
- Label requirements and placards
- Customer specific requirements
- Route management
- Customer Portal management
- Ensure all proper paperwork is present for international shipping
- Attend trainings as needed.
- Work closely with Logistics on carriers, contracts, and maintenance
- Transact in the warehouse management software.
- Work with Accounting to ensure proper paperwork is relayed.
- Supervise a direct team, provide required policies and procedures training, maintain team’s training records, coordinate warehouse staff work schedules, timesheets, and vacation requests.
- Provide monthly evaluations for direct reports.
- Other Duties as assigned.
- Release customer orders to warehouse for processing.
- Analyze transportation for trends & abnormalities.
- Maintain customer specification manuals and visual aids for warehouse personnel.
- Investigate shipper & consignee complaints regarding lost, short & damaged merchandise and determine root cause analysis.
- Spot checks all orders for accuracy, working with external and internal customers as issues arise.
- Establish all logistical contracts with carriers, manage cost and movement of product.
- Set up all domestic shipments within the company for sales, trade shows, raw materials, finished goods and ST’s to Lima.
- Manage any/all rework projects allocated to retail customers.
- Set up and ensure all team is up to date on all training including, hazmat, tow-motor and international shipping requirements.
- Set up container shipments as needed, providing documentation to the appropriate parties.

Qualifications
- High School Graduate or G.E.D.
- 3- 5 years related logistics background in a manufacturing environment required.
- College Degree preferred
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment.
- Have proficient computer skills with thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated proficiency with operating and warehouse Management software.
- Understanding of hazardous materials, a plus
- Able to work independently, be dependable and adapt to changes in systems and procedures.
- Employees must work well under pressure while meeting multiple tasks or competing deadlines.
