Job Description

The Human Resources Manager will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR Initiatives within the StampTech division. The HR manager will focus on empowering an inclusive work environment where our team members can reach their full potential and contribute to the accelerated growth of the division. Consistency and a sense of urgency in handling employee relations situations and investigations with a confident demeanor are critical skills required. 

While this role will act with autonomy and have creative influence and independent input into the site strategies, we expect the HR Manager to always act within the ITW values and framework and as an integral member of the Human Resources team. This position will report to the Human Resources Director.

Primary Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as an advisor and provides technical expertise and analytical support in all aspects of the Human Resources function.
  • Partners with senior leaders to understand and anticipate talent & developmental needs against the capabilities needed to deliver business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leaders to evaluate the current organization structure & conduct a “clean sheet” exercise as appropriate
  • Supports the ITW performance management cycle, advising and coaching in areas of goal setting, mid-year feedback activities, annual performance review, and the compensation planning process.
  • Manages talent acquisition activities, including talent upgrade efforts as necessary, and advises on market compensation requirements.  Coordinates recruitment efforts from job scoping activity through the offer phase. 
  • Provide HR strategic & day-to-day leadership to Gallatin facility
  • Provide support to other StampTech facilities (Lexington & Naugatuck)
  • Provides guidance and support on day-to-day general employee relations issues.
  • Inputs and maintains employee data in the HRIS system.  Prepares regular and special reports using HRIS.
  • Prepares employee communication documents, including new hire, disability, benefits, separation notices, and related documentation.  
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting comply.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology.
  • A minimum of six years of HR Generalist/HR Manager experience is required; experience supporting Manufacturing teams is preferred. Exposure to all facets of human resources, including knowledge of recruitment processes, benefit and compensation administrations, employee relations, and legal compliance requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in HR programs and practices.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information
  •  Strong communication skills with the ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organization; approachable and responsive
  • Ability to travel to our manufacturing sites (25%)
